It is associated with the pan- European Renaissance that is usually regarded as beginning in Italy in late 14th century . The Elizabethan era in the second half of the 16th century usually regarded as  the height of English Renaissance. As we know that some TV shows are totally weird and idiotic . We seeing that type of TV shows we must think that Plato's objection is really true.
