Thinking Activity : Derrida and Deconstruction

Hello readers!
Here is my blog on thinking activity Derrida and Deconstruction given by Dr. Dilip Barad sir. Here is blog for understanding of deconstruction by Dilip Barad sir. Click here.

Deconstruction :
" Deconstruction can not be once and finally define. It is possible something once and for all rigorously and what are its limited to define something. Deconstruction term is refuse to define the term, it is very difficult to define Derrida. "

Deconstruction is an approach to understanding the relationship between text and meaning. It was originated by the philosopher Jacques Derrida, whose approach conducting readings of texts looking for things that run out to its meaning or structural unity.

Derrida said " To deconstruct philosophy , would be to think in the most faithful way the structure genealogy of philosophy concept from a certain exterior that is unquantifiable by philosophy what this history has been able to dissimulate , making itself into a history by means of this motivated repression."

The idea of deconstruction is concerned with the idea of an origin or natural referent. It represents the notion that it is possible to find out in order to discover something beyond the original text.

Derrida published more than forty books and hundreds of articles through his life, but he failed to give deconstruction an authoritative definition. One point for this is that deconstruction needed language to explain it. Language structure has the target for deconstruction to argue against the defining deconstruction with language.

In his essay In his essay Structure, Sign and Play he discusses the process of Deconstruction.

For example:
A Milk bottle indeed there is a Red Milk bottle. So here milk bottle denote a milk bottle but red Milk bottle is symbolised deconstruction. There is lots of meaning, we will also assume that a milk bottle is colour by red or Milk bottle is used for juice of watermelon. So red colour is sing to discuss the deconstruction.

Here is an example of TV advertisement:

In this advertisement a man who was driving the car suddenly one old man came and not take permission to sit in his car rather than he sit in the car for going anywhere. And he talks too much with man who doesn't know to that old person .He irritated by old man because old man touch his mobile and calling to other person by man's phone. At home his wife is waiting for him for birthday celebration. So that's why man who drop him anywhere. He returns to his home and call coming from an unknown person. Unknown person is waiting for a doctor. For his animals treatment. Than men who get very emotional and he back to old man and pick up to old man. The advertisement is on emotional with the advertisement of Mahindra company.

Here we can describe the advertisement so we can simply know that advertisement is on emotional. But we can simply observe how deconstruction happens on its own. Deconstruction means think beyond text. So we normally see in this advertisement is that there is an old man who bad for man because he use his everything without permission and even sit in the car without permission. He think that old man injured to man. That's why man who doesn't want to help because he afraid by his behaviour. Or he will be late for a birthday party. He only be ready for give lift when he knows that old man is doctor so here deconstruct that one help to another when they know his profession. Without profession they take as abnormal. They not help to other easily.

Derrida used two binary . In this advertisement we can find that old man who doing all thing because he want to help to other and another person who judge him by his profession. So here we can found two binary good and bad.

Structure Sign and Play used in deconstruction. In this advertisement we can see some sing emotional, Car and old man. They play a key role to understand the exact situation of the advertisement.

        Thank you......

Thinking Activity : Testing and Evaluating

Thinking Activity : Testing and Evaluating Here are some questions on Testing and Evaluating... 1 ) Write on Validity and reliability of the test . Reliability and validity are concepts used to evaluate the quality of research. They indicate how well a method, technique or test measures something. Reliability is about the consistency of a measure. Validity is about the accuracy of a measure. What is validity? Validity refers to how accurately a method measures what it is intended to measure. The validity of an instrument is the idea that the instrument measures what it intends to measure. High reliability is one indicator that a measurement is valid. If a method is not reliable, it probably isn’t valid. For example , imagine a researcher who decides to measure the intelligence of a sample of students. A test of physical strength, like how many push-ups a student could do, would be an invalid test of intelligence.  Types of validity 1 ) Construct 2 ) Content 3 ) Criterion What is ...
