My blog is about famous indian author Arundhati Roy. She is famous for her novel The God of small things. She is indian Authors, actress and political activist who was best known for the award winning novel the God of small things (1997). Here is about the life of Arundhati Roy and her notable works and also answers to three questions which is asked by Dilip Barad sir as Sunday reading.

Arundhati Roy:


Arundhati Roy, full name of author, Suzanna Arundhati Roy. She is born November 24,1961, Shillong, Meghalaya, India. She is a very famous indian author, actress and political activist.

            She was born in Shillong , India. She was a Malayali Syrian Christian women's rights activist from Kerala. Her parents divorced and she stays with her mother and brother.

         Early in her career, Roy worked for television and movies. She wrote the screenplays for In which Annie Gives It Those Ones (1989).a movie based on her experiences as a student of architecture 

          Roy began writing her first novel, The God of small things in 1992. The book is semi - autobiographical and a major part captures her childhood experiences in Aymanam.

1 If you are asked about Arundhati Roy , what will be your answer?
           If any one asked me about Arundhati Roy and my answer is , she is versatile genius. Because she is worked in many fields like an Author, as an actress, and screenplay writer. She is a very famous author. She also works for human rights. She is one of Indian English writers. She wrote many screenplays and novels. Her first and most famous novel is The God of small things(1997). She won the book prize for this novel.

2 If you are asked about her two novels by her what will be your answer?

  1. The God of small things(1997)
           The God of small things is the debut novel of Indian writer Arundhati Roy. It is a story about the childhood experiences of fraternal twins whose lives are destroyed by the " love laws" that lay down" who would be loved and how.
          The God of small things was Roy's first bool. It won the Booker prize in 1997. This novel is about experiences affect her while life.

       The novel is highlights the situation of women in the society and how destroyed by love laws.

2. The Ministry of Utmost Happiness:
    This is the second novel by Arundhati Roy. Novel until the 2017 publication of the Ministry of Utmost Happiness twenty years later. The potential of the story was first recognised by Pankaj Mishra. This novel is translated into 50 languages, including Urdu and Hindi also.

         In this novel she talks about unbearable truths of society such as wretched condition.

3. If you are asked about her perspective towards life what will be your answer?
        This is difficult to give our answer as perspective of Arundhati Roy's life. through the work we can say that she expressed her life in her all works and give an idea of perspective of her life.
