Here is my blog on a Novel Frankenstein. A wonderful movie screening also on Frankenstein at the department of English . Frankenstein movie is in our syllabus. Frankenstein movie is based on novel Frankenstein , novel written by Marry Shelley. Mary Shelley's Frankenstein v/skenneth Branagh's movie Frankenstein.
Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus is a novel written by Mary Shelley that tells the story of Victor Frankenstein, a young scientist who creates a hideous sapient creatures an unorthodox scientific experiment.

Pre- viewing task:
1.What is gothics science fiction?
Gothic science fiction, also known as space goth, is a subgenre fiction that involves gothic conventions. Through definition we can connect and considered this novel as the gothic science fiction because it's also reflects the dark atmosphere of gothic fiction while also incorporating elements of science fiction.
2. What is a frame narrative?
This novel narrated by Volter which is reading by his sister Seville. Volter narrated the story by telling his crew members in ship. Colter narrate whole story.
3. What is the point of view of the author?
Frankenstein is narrated in the first-person by different characters at different points in the novel.After that, the point of view returns to Victor, who continues his story. The novel ends with a return to Walton's point of view and first person narration.
4. What are the viewpoints of different characters?
When we discussed about the different viewpoints of characters than we can say that Volter Frankenstein has different points of view towards human beings.
5. Do you have confusion about the title of the novel?
The title refers to the scientist, but the heart of the book is the monster, so confusion was inevitable. Also, the narrative awkward, stories within stories.
6. Who do you think is the real monster, the Creator or the Creature?
In the novel we find two characters which both are appropriate for the real monster. One is Frankenstein and another is Monster. The creator Volter Frankenstein also monster in my point of view.
7. What is tabula rasa?
Tabula rasa indicate that the Frankenstein's failure to act as a parental figure towards the creator surged influence it's personality and frame of mind in regarding to society and its surrounding, transforming it's mind from a Blake slate.
8. What is the significance of the subtitle "The Modern Prometheus"?
The title of the poem is "The Modern Prometheus " it is signify the lots of revolutionary in the word.
While viewing the movie:
1. How is the beginning and the end of the movie?
The beginning of the novel in stormy atmosphere like North Pole and than volter tells the story of Victor Frankenstein and his creation of monster, and the end of the novel in the same context of North Pole victor Frankenstein's funeral by the monster and the end of both Victor Frankenstein and the Monster.
2. Do you feel the effect of horror in the movie?
Yes . I feel the very effective horror in the movie because the creation of human beings from another human beings by a human itd very horrible in the movie because victor collect the various parts of the body and create new human beings it is very horrible.
3. What do you think about the character of the monster in the movie?
According to my viewpoints about the character monster is that positive, because he was ugly looking outside like monster but he has good human feeling and emotions in his inner side. He feel lonely, that's why he takes revenge otherwise Monster is good character
4. What do you think about the conversation between Victor and the monster?
The monster speaks eloquently enough to convince Victor to calm down and hear his case. He asks that Victor hear his "long and strange" tale. ... And Victor, at this point, is the opposite in that he can only think of hatred for the monster. Thus, Shelley makes the monster a sympathetic creature, not a horrid one.

1. What is the difference between the movie and the novel?
The difference between Mary Shelley's novel and Kenneth Branagh's movie is that, Henry killed by Monster in the novel but in the movie it's different. And many differences occurs but unfortunately I have not read whole novel.
Do you think the movie is helpful to understand the viewpoints of different characters?
Yes, the movie helps to understand the different viewpoints of characters like the aim of victor Frankenstein to creation of monster and the monster's view points also suggests a lot. If we only read novels after reading we can not find much horrible but after watching movies we found such very horrible scenes in the movie.so it can help to understand very clearly.
What do you think about the creation of lady monster in the novel and Elizabeth's look of a monster in the movie?
The creation of lady monster is for the re-alive his beloved Elizabeth and she was also victim of these and do a suicide also.
