Here is my blog on David Crystal's video about Education and technology. In his three particular videos he talks about The effect of new technologies on English. The biggest challenge for English language teaching in the times of the internet and texting is 'Good' for English language.

In this video he talks about the effect of new technologies on English. Technology always influences language. In the 19th century telephone arrived. people don't know what to do with the telephone. Telephones were going to be the biggest disaster in society. So new technology sometimes becomes a disaster also.

This are the examples of new technologies. When we use this kind of technology when we have stuff in mind that we think about and what is going on in our mind so it creates past tense, future tense, sentence and word etc. So technology make think in a different way.

Language is going faster. When we post on Facebook everybody knows about it within 24 hours. So language is going faster and Teachers have got to keep pace with students because their students are already ahead of them. So the English language is going faster and faster. 


Video 7 : Texting is Good for English Language.


In this video David Crystal talks about texting is good for English language. So,Texting is a kind of language and language studied by linguistics. Most adults are texting so they know most of the words and no misspellings. Improve writing skill and english through texting. Literacy is important in learning to read and write.
